Choral Academy

The Prague Philharmonic Choir’s new initiative is intended for vocal students at the higher music education level. It will give them the opportunity to study the core choral repertoire, work systematically with vocal scores, sing together with professional singers and perform in public.

The Choral Academy’s syllabus will include individual singing lessons and practical excersises lead by the assistant choirmaster Jakub Zicha under the supervision of the principal choirmaster Lukáš Vasilek. Academy members will be able to perform with the choir at concerts at prestigious venues in Prague, and at festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad. One of the aims of the project is to provide the graduates with qualification that will give them a broader choice of future employment.

The 1st year of the Prague Philharmonic Choir’s Choral Academy 2012–13 will be open to max. 5 students in all sections.
