Prague Philharmonic Choir’s own choral series is a welcome addition to the concert season and a commendable display of the choir’s qualities, writes the online magazine Opera Plus.

According to Helena Havlíková, the female and male parts of the choir respectively presented themselves at the concert as “compact ensembles with homogenous sound that was given the full dynamic range by the conductor Lukáš Vasilek.” The critic praised the premiered composition by Jan Dušek and also the performance of Josef Suk’s Ten Songs where “the choir displayed great sense of detail and sang with flair, vigour and wit”. Bohuslav Martinů‘s cantata The Mount of Three Lights was a highlight of the evening.
